What we collect
- Your email address, to sign you in. We don’t use passwords.
- If you sign in with Google, Facebook or X: the name, email address and profile picture they share with us. We never see your password there, and we never post for you.
- Your fanbase for the season and the teams you follow.
- What you vote: pregame calls, game-time reactions, grades, and Top 25 ballots.
- Basic technical data our hosts log to run the site, like your IP address and browser type.
Before you sign in, your votes stay on your device (in your browser’s storage). We keep a few settings there too, like the team you last viewed.
How we use it
To run Fan Hype: sign you in, save your votes, and combine everyone’s votes into the fanbase numbers and the Fan Top 25. Other fans see those combined numbers, never your email. Your pregame calls are scored after each game; only you see your record and rank. Share images show only what you choose to post.
Who helps us run it
- Supabase stores accounts and votes.
- Vercel hosts the site and counts page visits, without cookies, so we know how many people use it.
- Resend sends sign-in emails.
- Google, Meta (Facebook) and X sign you in if you choose them. Their own privacy policies cover what they collect.
- Google AdSense may show ads. Google and its partners can use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can turn off personalized ads in Google’s Ad Settings, and see how Google uses data at policies.google.com.
We don’t sell your email or your votes.
Your choices
To have your account and votes deleted, or to ask what we have, email support@fanhype.live from the address you sign in with. We keep data only as long as your account is open, plus backups that age out.
If you signed in with Facebook, Google or X, you can also remove Fan Hype from that account’s connected apps (on Facebook: Settings, then Apps and Websites). That stops future sign-ins; email us as above to delete what we already have.
Kids
Fan Hype isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
